Rules and Regulations
The Miss Juneteenth Pageant 2024

Tiny Little  Miss

All “Tiny Little Miss” contestants must be natural-born females and U.S. citizens who reside in Barbour, Coffee, Dale, Henry, or Houston County, Alabama. Contestants must attend an accredited school (public, private, or homeschool*) within the district of the represented county and be in Kindergarten or the First Grade for the 2023-24 academic school year. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Tiny Little Miss contestants must have exemplary behavior in school without suspensions or expulsions. 

​

The winner of this division must complete a winner's contract with the parents/guardians' commitment to the contract's schedule of appearances, including the 2024 Juneteenth Parade Celebration in downtown Dothan, Alabama.

​

Suppose the winner cannot fulfill her duties. In that case, the First Runner-Up in this division will receive the winner's relinquished title and relinquished prizes and must satisfy the remaining contractual requirement(s).

*Homeschooled contestants must provide documented proof of education, i.e. report card. 

Little Miss

Contestants must attend an accredited school (public, private, or homeschool*) within the district of the represented county and be in 4th & 5th Grade for the 2023-24 academic school year. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Little Miss contestants must have exemplary behavior in school without suspensions or expulsions.

The winner of this division must complete a winner's contract with the parents/guardians' commitment to the contract's schedule of appearances, including the 2024 Juneteenth Parade Celebration in downtown Dothan, Alabama.

Teen Miss

Contestants must attend an accredited school (public, private, or homeschool*) within the district of the represented county and be in 8th Grade for the 2023-24 academic school year. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Teen Miss contestants must have exemplary behavior in school without suspensions or expulsions. 

​

The winner of this division must complete a winner's contract with the parents/guardians' commitment to the contract's schedule of appearances, including the 2024 Juneteenth Parade Celebration in downtown Dothan, Alabama.

Suppose the winner cannot fulfill her duties. In that case, the First Runner-Up in this division will receive the winner's relinquished title and relinquished prizes and must satisfy the remaining contractual requirement(s). The Second Runner-Up in this division will become the New First Runner-Up and so forth.

Miss

All “Miss” contestants must be natural-born females and U.S. citizens who reside in Barbour, Coffee, Dale, Henry, or Houston County, Alabama. Contestants must attend an accredited school (public, private, or homeschool*) within the district of the represented county and be in 11th Grade for the 2023-24 academic school year. The contestant's GPA for the 2023-24 must be 2.50 or greater.

NO EXCEPTIONS!

The winner of this division must complete a winner's contract with the parents/guardians' commitment to the contract's schedule of appearances, including the 2024 Juneteenth Parade Celebration in downtown Dothan, Alabama.

Suppose the winner cannot fulfill her duties. In that case, the First Runner-Up in this division will receive the winner's relinquished title and relinquished prizes and must satisfy the remaining contractual requirement(s). The Second Runner-Up in this division will become the New First Runner-Up and so forth.

​

Scholarship funds will be released at the Honors Day Program of the winner's school during her senior year, and the cashier's check will be written to the winner with the name of her college/university of acceptance. Please provide a copy of the college/university acceptance letter to the Pageant Director for the records.

 

In the event the winner choses to enlist in the military, the scholarship funds will be released to the winner with the military enlistment documents as proof. Please provide a copy of the military enlistment documents to the Pageant Director for the records. 

​

In the event the winner chooses to enlist in a trade school, i.e. cosmetology or electrician, the scholarship funds will be a cashier's check written to the winner and the trade school of education. Please provide a copy of the trade school acceptance letter to the Pageant Director for the records.

​

Contestant winners must attend college/university and enlist in the military service of United States Army, Marine Corp., Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, Space Force, or Trade School.
