TSEJA Announces 2025 Honorees for The 1865 Legends Ball


Dothan, AL – March 21, 2025 – Tri-State Expo Juneteenth Affairs, Inc. (TSEJA) is proud to announce its 2025 Honorees for The 1865 Legends Ball, presented by TSEJA. These distinguished individuals, hailing from across the South, have made significant historic impacts in their respective fields and communities, warranting recognition and celebration. The Ball will be held on May 2, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Dothan Civic Center.


“Our board eagerly anticipates this annual event, which provides an opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to individuals of diverse backgrounds who have made a profound impact on our region, while proudly embracing their unique heritage,” said Evangeline Reynolds-Gunn, Executive Director of TSEJA.

This marks the fourth year of The 1865 Legends Ball, TSEJA’s primary fundraising event for private and corporate donors. Proceeds support educational programs, the organization’s scholarship fund, and the development of the Juneteenth African American Arts Museum (JA3M), scheduled to open in 2026.
